I admire so many women and their style, from Audrey Hepburn to Coco Chanel, I simply love a gal who possess a poised and chic silhouette and is the essence of class. Charlotte York, although she is a fictional character, is among the list of women who inspire me on a daily basis to strive to be the most delicate and beautiful girl I can be. With her timeless style and blind optimism, she has taught me many things on how a women should be. From dressing with elegance and class to never giving up on the things you wish for the most in life, Charlotte York is and will always be one of my role models. But, to be honest, the main reason I adore her so much is her style!

Although the show was aired in the late 90’s/early 2000’s, Charlotte York’s “Park Avenue Princess” style is still as relevant today as it was 20 years ago. Fit and flare dresses, Burberry coats, all tied together perfectly with a Tiffany bow is a look which simply never fades. Each time I watch this show with my mom I fall in love with each outfit Charlotte dazzles in! No matter the situation, lunch with her girls or dealing with a husband who uses the phrase “alrighty” on a regular basis, she always manages to be put together with a classic look with a touch of New York chic, a style I hope to one day fully achieve.

When shopping or deciding what to wear I always take into question what items my style icons, like  Charlotte, would choose. I adore the beauty and confidence Charlotte always has and want to mirror it in my own life through fashion. Often I find myself wrapping a silk scarf around my neck or opting for a more tailored look in hopes to posse the elegant grace she manages to portray in these outfits.  A fit and flare dress with a trench coat and a simple pearl necklace can be worn anytime, even on a casual day because I learned class has no boundaries. Keeping your outfit simple doesn’t mean you are less noticeable when you have the ageless beauty of positivity and optimism glowing off your face, as Charlotte does.853704c684a0457844c1cc648f7b31edsign-off-for-blog-post
