Wrapped In Plaid

DSC_0227DSC_0289DSC_0296Fall is my favorite time of year, not the chilly dreary weather, but rather the fun fashion which comes with it every year! I adore cute cozy sweaters and little booties and the last few years I have been loving the blanket scarf trend! A giant, soft scarf which wraps around you to give you a little extra warmth on those extra chilly days I believe is the perfect addition to any outfit. My favorite style for these fabulous accessories is of course plaid, a classic and timeless pattern which gives your outfit a little bit of a cozy vibe while still remaining tailored and put together. With its ability to keep you warm and add a extra fun flare to an outfit, plaid scarves have become a bit of a Fall wardrobe staple for me.

In the season filled with pumpkin patches and cider mills, having an accessory which can take you from picking apples to having cocktails is important, and this gorgeous green Abercrombie scarf is just that. With its neutral green color and chic plaid design, this scarf will not only keep you warm and cozy during the day but also fabulous for your night out on the town. It can be styled a bit more casual with a pair of your favorite skinny jeans and a simple top or played up a bit with a mini skirt and black sweater. Perfect for any event you have this Fall, this lovely scarf will be your best accessory when you want to keep nice and cozy but also look marvelous!

My favorite way to style this fabulous scarf is with an all black outfit. I pair my Banana Republic merino wool sweater (which is the perfect sweater to transition into Fall with) with my favorite J.Crew “pixie” pant and Marc Fisher booties for a blank canvas to help the scarf pop. The gorgeous green bounces off the black perfectly, capturing the attention of everyone around me. I enjoy adding NARS’ “Dragon Girl” lip pencil for a bold lip which helps bring out the red in the scarf, adding a bit more of an autumnal color to the look. The lovely colors of the scarf, lipstick, and the gorgeous season of Fall mix together perfectly, creating a look which give me Taylor Swift ‘Red’ era vibes. Wrapped in plaid with the sounds of “State Of Grace” playing in the background, I am prepared to take on whatever the delightful Fall day has to offer in style.sign-off-for-blog-post
